From the Dual Battery Architecture to the PMSM, every subsystem is presented conceptually — with its real development status, not a spec sheet.
HERL, ACM, BDA, IWA and SFA are internal Self Volt™ framework designations. Their precise function is under development and subject to validation.
Two managed packs instead of one
The core Self Volt™ structure: two high-voltage battery packs managed together so the control system can route energy flexibly between them.
The two packs
Designations for the two packs in the dual-battery architecture. No capacities, chemistries or cell types are published.
Cell-level safety & balancing
Monitors voltage, current and temperature per cell, balances the packs and enforces safety limits. Doubled in a dual-battery system — coordination is the engineering challenge.
The vehicle's brain
Coordinates the battery system, motor, inverter and charging logic. In Self Volt™, the VCU also decides how energy moves between Pack A and Pack B.
DC to AC conversion
Converts DC from the battery bus into the AC that drives the motor. Switching efficiency is a major determinant of usable range.
Permanent magnet synchronous motor
The traction motor type under evaluation — chosen in principle for efficiency and power density. No performance figures published.
High voltage to low voltage
Steps the traction-bus voltage down to power the vehicle's auxiliary loads (lights, electronics, controllers).
Keeping cells, motor & electronics cool
Manages heat from cells, motor and power electronics. A first-class design constraint in Rajasthan's climate.
Permanent magnet generator
A permanent-magnet generator is part of the Tri-Alternator concept's generation path. Concept-stage; no output figures published.
Self Volt design framework term
An internal designation within the Self Volt™ design framework for a high-efficiency energy recovery and loading element. Details are under development and subject to validation.
Self Volt design framework term
An internal designation in the Self Volt™ framework covering a control and management element of the energy architecture.
Self Volt design framework term
Internal designation associated with the dual-battery arrangement and its balancing strategy within Self Volt™.
Self Volt design framework term
Internal designation for an integrated wiring / integration arrangement in the Self Volt™ architecture.
Self Volt design framework term
Internal designation for a safety and fault-handling arrangement within the Self Volt™ control framework.
Note Component names and framework designations describe intended engineering roles. No component specifications, capacities or performance figures are published, because none are validated.
